Japanese Sunrise Silver Keum Boo Necklace

The "Land of the Rising Sun" is a place that captures imaginations around the world. I incorporated 6 different textures to illustrate some of the things that make Japan so beautiful by using silver Precious Metal Clay on silicone texture sheets. On this very special pendant, you will find:

-a bail made with a scallop texture often found in origami and textiles

-the sun rising using the keum-boo technique of burnishing gold foil onto silver

-Mt. Fuji standing tall in the center

-a bamboo forest on the left

-cherry blossoms blooming on the right

-the ocean swirling around the islands

The pendant is set on a high quality silver snake chain. It is an heirloom that will last a lifetime with special care. Pendant measures approx. 1.5" by .75".
